Bay City Parks & Recreation takes pride in creating and preserving outdoor spaces. The Department oversees the maintenance and operations of 26 parks and facilities throughout the City that encompass 280 acres including:
- 10 pavilions
- 1 splash pad
- 7 playgrounds
- 1 campground with boat ramp/beach area on the Colorado River
- 1942 USO Building
- 1905 MOPAC Train Depot
- 1907 Gazebo
- 3 pickleball courts
- 11 baseball/softball fields
- 15 soccer fields
- 1 football field
- 1 skate park
- 1 dog park
- 1 bike park
- 1 sand volleyball court
- 24-hole Disc Golf Course
- Corn hole/horseshoe pits
- 5 basketball courts
- 3 miles of trails
Additionally, Bay City Parks & Recreation provides opportunities for positive experiences and personal growth by providing a wide variety of recreation opportunities for youth and adults in the areas of athletics, aquatics, instructional programs, specials events and senior adult activities.
