Bay City Announces HomeTown Christmas Celebration 2025

A Month-Long Series of Holiday Events Begins December 4^th

The Bay City Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the 6^th Annual HomeTown Christmas Celebration, bringing a full month of holiday activities to the community this December.

This year’s celebration features long-standing favorites, exciting new additions, and festive fun for all ages. The event kicks off with the 45th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, in partnership with the Bay City Chamber of Commerce, in downtown Bay City on Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. Last year’s parade featured over 60 entries, with trophies awarded to top-scoring groups in each category.

📍 Downtown Bay City | Thursday, Dec. 4 | 7:00 p.m.

A dazzling holiday tradition with decorated floats, marching groups, and festive lights.

Christmas in the Park

📍 Riverside Park | Saturday, Dec. 6 | 1–5 p.m.

Includes an ice rink, SnowZilla Jr., Texas Snowball Fight, games, crafts, food trucks, and photo opportunities with Santa and the Gwench. Evening hayrides through the Wilderness Trail of Lights from 6–9 p.m. ($10/car).

Wilderness Trail of Lights

📍 Riverside Park | Dec. 6–Jan. 1

Hayrides: Dec. 6–14 | 6–9 p.m. ($5/car)

Walk-thru: Dec. 15–Jan. 1 | 6–9 p.m. (Free)

Jingle Jog

📍 Le Tulle Park | Saturday, Dec. 13 | 10:00 a.m. (approx.)

A festive “Half K” with playful holiday challenges. Participants are encouraged to wear elf costumes. Entry is $25 (early bird discount available through Dec. 1) and includes a t-shirt.

Movie in the Park – “The Star”

📍 Riverside Park | Friday, Dec. 19 | Hayrides 6–9 p.m., Movie at 7 p.m.

Tickets: $10/car (includes movie, popcorn, hot cocoa, marshmallows, and hayride through the lights).
