About the Board

City Council created the Library Advisory Board (LAB) in 2025 to advise the City Council and staff on library services, policies, planning, and community engagement to advance equitable access and excellence in public library service. LAB shall serve as an advisory body only.

The Library Advisory Board shall consist of five (5) to seven (7) members appointed by City Council which will serve in numbered places and who demonstrate a clear commitment to the role of public libraries as inclusive, intellectual, and cultural spaces
