About the Board

City Council re-defined the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) in 2025 to focus on providing informed recommendations, subject matter expertise, and community input to assist the City of Bay City in promoting tourism, cultural activities, and economic growth, including but not limited to HOT Tax Sponsorship Grants. TAB shall serve as an advisory body only.

TAB helps the Tourism Department (Visit Bay City) to promote and develop tourism and awareness of our beaches, birds, thriving arts and downtown culture.

The Tourism Advisory Board shall consist of five (5) to seven (7) voting members which will serve in numbered places representing a diverse range of tourism-related sectors,
