The Utilities Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining the water and wastewater infrastructure and supply for the City of Bay City. Our team performs routine maintenance and repairs to water mains and service lines, sewer mains and service lines, fire hydrants, water valves, and manholes. Our crews are also responsible for the installation of new water and sewer tap services. Our technicians provide several services to the community and citizens that reside in Bay City:

• Investigate and correct water quality concerns
• Investigate and make necessary repairs to water mains, water valves, meters, and water service lines up to the city right-of-way
• Investigate and make necessary repairs to sewer mains, manholes, and sewer services lines up to the city right-of-way
• Locate and mark water and sewer services on the city easements and roadways for anyone requesting that the lines be marked for construction or excavation purposes
• Install water and sewer taps to establish new services
