The Bay City Main Street Program encourages economic People Walking and Shopping on Main Street
development within the context of historic preservation in 
ways appropriate to today’s market place. The Main Street 
Approach advocates a return to community self-reliance, local 
empowerment, and the rebuilding of traditional commercial 
districts based on
 their unique assets:

  • Distinctive architecture
  • Pedestrian-friendly environment
  • Personal service
  • Local ownership
  • Sense of community

America and Texas Main Street Program.

Vendors Talking with CustomersBay City Wild Game and Wine Camofest acclaims Bay City Native and artist, Forrest Clemenger Bess, designer of camouflage. Camofest celebrates Bay City as the "Gateway to the Great Outdoors" and includes a full weekend of music, wine tasting, wild game tasting and shooting competitions. Held the last weekend each January, Camofest is a unique event you won’t want to miss.
