Our Mission

The City of Bay City places a high priority on consistently informing, engaging and connecting residents with their city government in new and modern ways. The Communications & Marketing Department helps advance the mission through various means, with the end goal of creating positive, productive associations between local government and its residents.

Services to the Community

The City of Bay City Quarterly Newsletter:  Four times a year, the Communications & Marketing Department produces a public newsletter for the residents of Bay City.  The newsletter contains important information from city departments, scheduled city events and other information that may be of interest to those who live in and around Bay City. Emergency Alerts:  The City of Bay City uses Hyper Reach to send out timely emergency notifications to residents of Bay City. You can choose to receive these notifications through email or text messages.  Alerts sent through this system include extreme weather reports, natural disaster alerts, evacuation information and more.  Sign up to receive Hyper Reach alerts here.

Social Media:  One prime method of keeping our residents informed is through our social media channels - Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Follow us by clicking the links below or by searching City of Bay City Texas on either of those platforms. 

Bay City App (BayCityTX4U):  The Communications & Marketing Department maintains a mobile app that allows residents of Bay City to submit service requests, view the City calendar, pay their utility bill, and more.  This app also sends important notices to residents who choose to receive them.  The app can be found on your phone's app store.
